The Avril Group, the industrial and financial actor in the oils and proteins sector, equipped itself with a new governance and new organization to ensure its sustainable independence and reinforce the presence of the farming world at the heart of its growth strategy.

Avril 2020: focus on proteins and Africa

In 2016, Avril adopted a new strategic plan to drive its development in France and internationally until 2020.  Called "Avril 2020", this plan resulted from a five-year projection performed by the Group in close collaboration with farmers’ representatives, thus reaffirming the crucial role of producers in the sector who had driven creation of the Group in 1983. Competitiveness, international growth, innovation and human assets are some of the areas where Avril intends to grow in order to develop new activities and markets for agricultural and agrifood sectors in France and elsewhere. Two particular challenges will be addressed in order to prepare and gear up for the future: proteins and Africa.

This historic stage in the development of the Group has been marked by a new name and visual identity, through which Avril is reaffirming the drivers of its growth strategy in order to prepare the future and enable an effective response to the challenges faced by the oils and proteins sectors in France and throughout the world.
