Your well-being and safety: our priority
Joining Avril means becoming part of a Group that places the development, safety and inclusion of all its employees at the top of its priorities.
By listening to its employees and their needs, Avril is making a winning bet on well-being at work for all its teams.
Putting employee safety at the core of performance
Launched in 2019, the WeCare program aims to accelerate the development of a culture of safety at all levels of the company. This change involves both managers and all employees by engaging them on a daily basis in the reporting of risk alerts and in the roll-out of area audits. At the same time, the Group is implementing new tools in favor of safety such as “Life-saving rules,” operational committees dedicated to safety at each site, and industrial audits.
At Avril, safety is driven by a clear ambition: zero injuries. In 2020, the health of employees was the major concern in the face of the pandemic, but the protective measures quickly put in place ensured business continuity. For several months, the management of COVID-19 monopolized daily life and energy, but the new health requirements did not call into question the Group’s ambitions in terms of safety.
Exploiting the full potential of remote working
Avril is constantly striving to improve the quality of life at work for its employees by staying in step with their expectations and changing practices. Also, remote working made its appearance in 2017 in certain subsidiaries. An agreement simplifying its practice has been put in place within the Group. Up to two days a week can be set as remote working days for employees, whether they are on permanent or fixed-term contracts.
To support this change and to remain attentive to the needs of each employee, a home working committee has been set up in each company.
Advancing diversity
The Group is convinced that it is by promoting teams that are more representative of our society that we can truly benefit from the wealth of skills, knowledge and experience of our employees. By working towards equal opportunities and diversity within its teams, Avril promotes the cohesion necessary for the professional development of each individual and thus proves on a daily basis that diversity and performance go hand in hand.
Avril has undertaken a proactive approach to move toward professional equality between women and men. As part of its SPRING corporate social responsibility approach, the Group has set itself the goal of increasing the percentage of women in its workforce.

30.6%
more women in the workforce, an improvement of 0.6% compared to 2021
To honor this commitment, Avril has made gender equality one of the criteria taken into account when determining the remuneration of its managers.
Creating a welcoming work environment for people with disabilities
Since 2012, Avril has been working toward the integration of people with disabilities within the Group. The identification of positions adapted to disabled workers, particularly within its production sites, has enabled the development of a disability-accommodating environment.
Thanks to an action plan based on workshops organized with employees, the Group launched the “Disability Mission” to raise awareness throughout the company on this subject of inclusion and to fight against the taboos that too often surround it. In this way, Avril supports each employee who wishes to have their status as a disabled worker recognized.
All of these actions are directly reflected in the field, thanks to a Disability Committee which was launched in January 2020 and now has 8 members. This Committee, which covers all areas, has the task of bringing the subject to the sites themselves in order to bring the Group’s commitment to disability to life on a daily basis.
The loyalty and trust of our employees are a testimony to the sincerity of our approach to equal opportunity and well-being at work. This commitment is part of our corporate culture and is part of our leadership model.

Health and well-being: taking care of everyone
By offering sophrology or shiatsu massage sessions, depending on the locations, Avril promotes the well-being of its employees on a daily basis. Nap rooms have been created, as well as areas dedicated to young nursing mothers wishing to express their milk during the day.
The Group has formed partnerships with osteopathy schools to enable final-year students to attend sessions with experienced practitioners. Some sites even organize muscular awakening sessions before starting work, to prevent musculoskeletal disorders linked to repetitive tasks.
Avril also pays particular attention to the ergonomics of workstations, as well as to good practices in terms of posture and organization, in the context of organized and systematic internal visits. The development of remote working has been the focus of training to support its implementation under the best possible conditions. Each renovation or construction of new premises is guided by a reflection on the atmosphere and work environment. The Bruz Campus is an emblematic example.
Sport at work: keeping fit and exercising with colleagues
Fitness, pilates, stretching… Many of the Group’s sites offer weekly sports activities supervised by professionals, in person and even remotely if necessary. The premises are generally equipped with showers and changing rooms to make it easier for employees to come by bike and practice sports informally, alone or in groups, during lunch breaks.
Sports events are organized in partnership with local players such as the Sport dans la Ville association, which is dedicated to the well-being of young people from difficult neighborhoods. Employees also get involved by participating in marathons, often in connection with major causes such as the Telethon and Pink October.
Clubs are organized at the initiative of employees who wish to share their passions or get together for convivial moments. Chess, jujitsu, pétanque, yoga, sharing a variety of activities is part of daily life at Avril and nourishes its spirit of openness.
